The space
3 bedroom cabin has a queen bed, bunk beds and a futon to sleep up to 9 guests. A retro modular living room and kitchen space, and bathroom equipped with a shower.
Across the street enjoy access to a small community recreation area which features pickleball court, basketball court, sand volleyball, children’s play area, horseshoes, and a beautiful elevated patio.

Part of lake’s country in west central Minnesota just miles from Maplewood State Park, Perham (featuring weekly Turtle races), Dent, Vergas (featuring Maple Syrup days, Hairy Man Festival, Weiner Dog Races) , and Detroit Lakes (host to the world famous We Fest). These charming towns offer excellent dining, shopping, and during the summer local farmers markets.
Guest access
The whole cabin is yours to enjoy! Fish, swim, and boat on beautiful Big McDonald Lake. Bring your own boat, launch at the public access located .25 miles past the cabin. Utilize one dock slip that includes a boat lift with a 2800 pound limit. Enjoy 60 feet of sandy bottom private beach for swimming. Enjoy your morning coffee on the patio for fantastic sunrises.

We enjoyed our time at this rustic little cabin on a fantastic lake. Phenomenal views of the lake while sipping coffee in the morning and dinners with the family on the large patio space. Our three girls loved swimming in the lake, it was so clear and clean. They jumped off the dock for hours. The host even left us a treat from a local toy store in Perham. Thank you for having us!
